Larry Cherubino purchased his first parcel of land in Frankland River, Western Australia, with wife Edwina in 2004 — the winery has gone on to become one of the top flagbearers for Western Australia, winning awards such as Winery of the Year in 2011, and Best Value Winery 2017 in the respected James Halliday Wine Companion.
Fruit is sourced from the ‘Channybearup’ vineyard. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, and aged in both two-year-old French oak barrels, with a small portion of new oak. A Chardonnay with enough texture and weight on the hips to tackle stronger flavours, yet with a Burgundian-esque litheness.
Coped impressively with several dishes at one of the most exciting Chinese restaurants in the UK, A. Wong — in particular, a new dish of garlic steamed lobster with mung bean noodles and superior soy.
